Tofu with Walnut &                Wood Ear Mushroom

Ingredients

* 1 lb organic firm tofu
* 1/2 oz dry wood ear mushroom, soak for 1-2 hours, rinse and drain
* 1 cup walnuts
* 3 slices of ginger
* salt, white pepper and sugar to taste
* 1 tbsp. sesame oil
* 1 tbsp. canola oil

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Cut tofu into small cubes.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Wash and drain wood ear mushroom.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Heat 1 tbsp. of canola oil in pan.

Add ginger, fry till golden brown.

 

 

 

 

Add wood ear mushroom, tofu, walnuts, salt, sugar and 2 cups of water.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Cook for 20 minutes in a covered pan. Season with pepper and sesame oil at the end.
