Crispy Tofu Squares with         Spicy Dipping Sauce 

Ingredients

* 1 box extra firm tofu
* 3 tb of cornstarch
* salt and ground black pepper
* canola oil

Dipping sauce:
* 2 tb soy sauce
* 1 teasp balsamic vinegar
* 1 teasp sugar
* 1/2 teasp chile sauce
* 1 teasp sesame oil
* chopped green onion to garnish

 

 

 

 

 

Soak firm tofu in salty water for 2 hours to make it more firm, and tasty.

Cut into 1 inch cubes.Mix cornstarch with salt and black pepper.

Roll cubes of tofu into mixture.

Bring 5-6 cups canola oil to a boil.

Deep fry tofu until golden brown for about 2-3 minutes

 

 

 

 

 

Drain on paper towels, and serve with dipping sauce.
