Ginger Tea

Slice 1 oz of ginger. Boil in 2 cups of water for 10-15 minutes.

Optional: add 1 tbsp. of brown sugar.

Drink 1 cup 2-3 times/day at the beginning of a cold, so that it does not settle in.

If you have a cold and a cough together, add 7-8 cloves of garlic and cook with the ginger tea. Garlic has a deeper effect.

After eating, if you feel gassy or bloated, chew on some sliced ginger for a few minutes, or drink ginger tea without sugar.

Diarrhea and Cold: Make ginger tea. Drink 1 cup 2-3 times/day until diarrhea has stopped for a day. To give more strength, beat an egg, add to 2 cups of boiling tea. Allow a moment, and drink.

To treat stiff neck and muscle aches caused by air-conditioning cold: drink ginger tea. Nausea: chew on a slice of raw ginger.

If you have a low appetite, or you have weak digestion, add 1/2 oz of jujube dates when preparing ginger tea. Cook for 20 min.

For menstrual cramps, add Hawthorne berries (Shan Zha) to the ginger tea. In the winter, if your hands and feet are very cold, you can soak your feet in warm water with ground ginger or add ginger tea.
